Assessment of heart rate variability in young patients using Mawi biosensor patch

ECG analysis in patients normally reveals fluctuations of RR intervals, i.e. the distances between QRS complexes are not always strictly the same ones. Their deviation is allowed in the range of up to 10.0-15.0%. This condition is especially characteristic of young people with normal regulatory activity of the autonomic nervous system. With age, when the disorders in the autonomic nervous system increase, the fluctuations of RR intervals decrease or become completely absent. Sometimes such conditions can be recorded on certain days, when there is atypical work of the autonomic nervous system. HRV (Heart rate variability) indicators are calculated according to special formulas that allow converting the RR interval and its fluctuations into mathematical indicators.
The normal distribution of RR intervals in a young patient with the calculation of temporal characteristics of heart rate variability (reference values are given in parentheses) for the three-day observation period by means of using MAWI BIOSENSOR PATCH is graphically presented in Fig. The above indicators were found without deviations, despite the presence of single extrasystoles in the patient which may indicate some disorders of the autonomic function. However, the results of HRV analysis indicate that such disorders of autonomic innervation of the heart are insignificant.
