Possibilities of detection of transient bundle branch block during three-day monitoring of the electrocardiography

Bundle branch block is a major problem in modern medicine, taking into account a wide range of reasons for its appearance. In non-complicated cases, such block may be temporary, is transient, or repeated, is intermittent. Such patients can often be asymptomatic, especially due to low activity of myocardial processes or extracardiac pathology, is the transition of sinus rhythm to one bundle branch block may go unnoticed as well as its disappearance. In case of severe block, there is a risk of increasing the severity of the block and cardiac dysfunction. The patient, who noted mainly heart failure, underwent a three-day ECG monitoring using MAWI BIOSENSOR PATCH, the main analysis of which is carried out by an artificial intelligence system. On the third day of the ECG monitoring the asymptomatic episode of the left bundle branch was developed and recorded by the device.

The Fig. shows the episode of transient left bundle branch block accidentally recorded on the third day of monitoring.
As typical ECG monitoring is usually set for 1-2 days which does not always detect abnormalities, recommendations for longer-term monitoring may be essential to identify transient and prevent permanent conduction disorders.
